That Long Flight to Bangkok

Imagine flying for 19 hours with a 6 year old - I mean we knew it was crazy but we also knew it would be completely worth it.

HOW.. I hear you say. Well to be honest it was relatively easy, it just takes preparation, making sure I have packed everything Jax could possibly want and need (or not need but asks for anyway).

That long flight wasn't actually too bad we departed LHR at 9:15am, it was 7.5 hours to Bahrain, 3 hours in Bahrain airport and then a further 7.5 hours to Bangkok. I had packed him everything, iPad, Switch, new colouring book, new colouring pens, sticker book, scratch notes, animal quiz cards, origami paper and snacks and that was enough for him, he survived to tell the tale and wants to go back again so I must have done something right.

Once we landed in Bahrain we were actually blown away by their airport. In the centre of the airport was a huge soft play area filled with climbing frames, a trampoline (yes a trampoline), beanbags and about 10 PS5's with huge screens and this was all free so what did we do, we spent 2.5 hours here playing Minecraft.

Once back on the plane for the 2nd leg I spent most of that trying to convince Jax that he needed to sleep, eventually he caved and slept for most of it - thank god, I wasn't ready to deal with a stroppy 6 year old for a whole day after we landed in Bangkok at 8:30am.
